Leopard and a Bear

Leopards and bears aren't the likeliest of friends, but they teamed together this week to make my casual outfit a bit more interesting. The bear can't really fit much in its belly, though it's the cutest lip gloss holder for sure! It's just so compact, I really like the silver detailing on its ears, feet and clasp. And my trainers are my favourite flat shoes, they're very good for when I go for a stroll!

Home Sweet Home

I'm finally back at home and loving spending time with my family and my cute dog Milly! Plus, I get to share my sister's clothes which is a win for me... I'm looking forward to heading out to London again for some adventures, but first it's time to relax with some home comforts after a busy few weeks in Nottingham.

July Wishlist

I'm sure that my wishlists are growing larger by the month, and I really did have to refrain from adding everything I liked. It seems I'm still loving pastel shades and metallics this month, but I've added a few bright colours, and a more diverse range of items fit for summer!

In Bloom

Floral print is a summer staple for me, though this skirt can be worn all year round; the A-line with it's monochrome pattern would work well for any occasion. I really am a shirt fanatic, and my loose fitting shirt is perfect for me in this pretty deep pink/red shade. Being a (former) student however, my ironing skills aren't quite up to scratch, so unfortunately my shirt comes with creases.

Graduation

So it happened... on Monday I became a graduate. The best thing about this is that I can move forward with my career, though (sadly), one of the worst things is that I can no longer get student discount on my shopping! Here are a few snaps from the day of my graduation, wish I could have taken home my gown and hat, felt like I was part of Hogwarts.

Shoesday - Metallic

I recently bought some metallic heels after wanting a pair for years, so I'm sure they will be showing up in quite a few blog posts! This shoesday displays a mix of metallics, with printed, glittering, strappy and bright designs.

Pug lovin'

Packing away 3 years worth of possessions was a lot harder than I anticipated, and I really don't know how I acquired so many cushions! But I somehow found time to pretend to be a pug...

Summer Nails

After a few attempts to create the perfect 'summer nails' and completely smudging them, I decided to create a collage of nails which displays beautifully bright colours with pretty prints, all of which can be found on Pinterest! My favourite design is on the pink sunset nails with the crystal eye and black and white stripes, what's yours?

Neon Vibe

I've had a few stressful days as I've been locked out of my house (being as forgetful as I am and leaving my keys in Leeds), but there's always time for a blog post! I haven't worn neon too often, but I think that this bright yellow shade stands out more now that I'm slightly tanned, and I like how it contrasts with the pale sheer grey snake print on the kimono and the black skirt. This vest is great because it's very simple and versatile; it would brighten up a casual outfit and I can easily layer with it or dress it up with a statement necklace or a bold print.

Beauty Edit - Blue is the Hue

From sweet pastel brights to dark and lustrous shades, blue is having a big beauty moment this summer. I particularly like Versace's mix of exotic blues with shimmering bronze, and Topshop Unique's wet-look eyes teamed with beach tasseled waves.

Happy 4th July

Though I don't celebrate on the 4th July, I thought I'd post my outfit for today in the spirit of things! Hope you all have a great weekend :).

Style Icon - Alexa Chung

Alexa Chung has been one of my icons for a long time. She always stays true to her unique style; a mix of femininity and what she deems 'tomboyish' silhouettes, which has made her a British trendsetter and a front row fashionista. She exudes effortless chic and a sophisticated coolness with key signature pieces that can easily be transformed and updated. I particularly like how she focuses her outfits on practicality and simplicity, but still makes them look edgy and on trend.  In short, I want to be her.

Back to School

It's slowly dawning on me that a large chapter of my life has ended, and now the time has come for me to take on responsibilities as an adult, even if I do look like I'm still at school! I will continue to dress like I am, anyway.

Shoesday

If there's one thing I will never be bored of, it's leopard print. Whether it's on shoes, shorts, dresses or jackets, I will wear it (though maybe not all at once). So it's time for a shoesday featuring my favourite print, which also includes prints from various other animals in bright shades - perfect for summer!
