Candy Girl

As I've no doubt mentioned, I'm crazy for pastels. Give me mint green, lemon yellow or sugary peach and I'll devour any of it! So when I feasted my eyes on this patent sky blue skirt from Missguided, I felt that I had to experiment with it. Here I've mixed it with a candy pink top flecked with white. I find the backless detail quite fun and I like the play of textures, especially with my pony effect bag from Zara, which feels lovely and soft! Anyone else thinks this outfit looks good enough to eat?  X

Valentine's Outfit

Valentine's Day was just a big excuse to bring pugs into the mix, as it was love at first sight when I caught my eye on these adorable white socks! It's not the most conventional outfit for the occasion (it was very windy and cold at the time and I don't think I could brave it outside for too long) though again, I do love the combination of bright pink and red. The sheer fabric of the skirt and the cute bow and heart shaped pieces, create a more playful take on a romantic look. I feel like a loved up Alice from Wonderland in this outfit - now all I need is a talking rabbit and a whopping tea party!

Red Leather

As you may have seen in my previous posts, I really do like the combination of pink and red, as I feel the colours complement each other well. The pink and red shades in my post Colour Block, were rather vibrant, so here I've opted for muted tones which have a more wintry appeal. Again, I love mixing many textures in one look, and am especially pleased with my fluffy jumper bought for me as a Christmas present by my twin - she knows me so well! It's quite a plain outfit, so I added a bow to make it more girly, though this sadly broke during the snapping and my attempt to make one wasn't so good! Hope you enjoy, anyway :) x

Summer Sun

Looking forward to wearing my jumpers and getting snug for Autumn (dreaming of a pastel coat), though as the sun is still shining, I might as well make the most of it! So I've gone for an extra bright, colourful outfit this week, with these pretty lemon yellow peep-toe heels. I love to match pastel, light shades so I've teamed the shoes with a pale pink dog-tooth skirt and mint nails. Hope you enjoy the sun :).

Shoesday

It's time for another Shoesday Tuesday, and I think that these shoes are pretty all white... Yeah, I went there. I am not a massive fan of the big platformed white sandals that have really hit off over summer. These shoes come in more classic styles, though they have interesting designs, textures or patterns. White is a great colour choice for shoes because it will goes with almost every other shade yet will give an outfit impact!

Summer Love

I've had an exciting week starting my first graduate job in London, so I'm sorry I haven't had a chance to post in a while! But, this weekend I'll have a chance to relax, reflect, and enjoy the sun :).

Shoesday - Florals

I've had a busy week travelling between London and Nottingham, so haven't had time to do my shoesday Tuesday post. So it looks like it will have to be a floral Friday, with bold blooms and pretty petals adorning these summer shoes.

Leopard and a Bear

Leopards and bears aren't the likeliest of friends, but they teamed together this week to make my casual outfit a bit more interesting. The bear can't really fit much in its belly, though it's the cutest lip gloss holder for sure! It's just so compact, I really like the silver detailing on its ears, feet and clasp. And my trainers are my favourite flat shoes, they're very good for when I go for a stroll!

July Wishlist

I'm sure that my wishlists are growing larger by the month, and I really did have to refrain from adding everything I liked. It seems I'm still loving pastel shades and metallics this month, but I've added a few bright colours, and a more diverse range of items fit for summer!

Shoesday - Metallic

I recently bought some metallic heels after wanting a pair for years, so I'm sure they will be showing up in quite a few blog posts! This shoesday displays a mix of metallics, with printed, glittering, strappy and bright designs.

Back to School

It's slowly dawning on me that a large chapter of my life has ended, and now the time has come for me to take on responsibilities as an adult, even if I do look like I'm still at school! I will continue to dress like I am, anyway.

Mermaid

Experimenting with pastel colours in my hair, I decided that I looked quite like a mermaid (as you do), and thought it would be fun to dress up in a mermaid style and do a post... Yep, I have a lot of time on my hands now that I've graduated. I do love these hot pants, though I haven't really had the chance to wear them out as they are on the mini side. But when you're a mermaid, anything goes! I know you can buy hair chalks, although I use normal chalk pastels, as you can get so many more colours and they work quite well on my hair. They're easier to use on lighter hair, but I just wet the ends of my hair (or you can wet the pastel), and applied it straight on. Apparently it's good to set the colour in using heat, so I would normally straighten my hair after I've coloured it. And yes, do wash your hands after use ;).
